the unofficial wonder stuff website

"THE WONDER STUFF were one of the most exciting and vital bands of the late-80's, early-90's."
Gary Crowley
Broadcaster and DJ
March 2026 celebrates the fortieth anniversary of the original formation of THE WONDER STUFF, albeit with a few line-up changes along the way, but they are still performing with the same (and some would say, more) vigour and determination that they've always had.

Their most recent album, 'Better Being Lucky' released in November 2019, saw the return of original guitarist Malc Treece into the fold alongside vocalist/guitarist Miles Hunt and violinist/vocalist Erica Nockalls (solo, The Proclaimers, Dutch Head, Echo and the Bunnymen, Versari). Completing the line-up is Mark 'Gemini' Thwaite (The Mission, Tricky, Peter Murphy, Gary Numan, Revolting Cocks, Mob Research, MICE (Julianne Regan), Spear of Destiny, Theatre of Hate, MGT) on guitar, Tim Sewell (Eat) on bass and Pete Howard (The Clash, Eat, Queenadreena, Vent 414) on drums.

The group performed a handful of dates in December 2025 (Manchester, Birmingham and London) but already have shows planned in 2026 to celebrate such a monumental anniversary year.

ROOM 512 has been the unofficial Wonder Stuff website since 1994. Originally conceived as an idea for a written biography of the group, this site is the largest resource of news and information on not only The Wonder Stuff but also other works and side projects of some of its group members including Vent 414 and We Know Where You Live as well as Miles Hunt's own solo output, Miles and Erica's work together and Erica's own solo work.

The site was relaunched in May 2026 and work is still being done on it in the background with new sections being added in due course. Also, the original (full) biography area isn't ready yet but will be back as soon as possible...

Thanks to everyone for all of their help and contributions, this site wouldn't be what it is without you!
